Bründlmayer | Sekt Brut
Have you ever had bubbles from Austria? Well allow us to introduce you to this fun, fresh and super interesting Sekt. made using 5 different grape varieties, including Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and the nations' favourite white grape Grüner Veltliner.
Sekt is the name given to 'sparkling wines made in Germany & Austria with 4 quality levels. There are many examples of this style of bubbler which are often made in the same was as prosecco (Charmat method), however Bründlmayer is a high quality producer and they have made this using the traditional method and what we think to be a genuinely fine fizz.
Vanilla slice on the nose, creamy and rich with pastry notes. The palate is totally different, showing some super bright citrus and racy Granny smith apple. If you like dry style of sparkling wine that is going to lift your spirits and pair well with Oysters, Seafood and Tapas flavours.
Blend of varieties are; Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Grüner Veltliner | Made using the traditional method of secondary fermentation in bottle | 18 months on lees | 7 g/L dosage - dry | 750ml | 11.5% abv
